The Bumbleride Indie is a light jogging stroller, but can be used for all purposes and all ages, including infancy. It is stylish and comes in several colors including Lava, Ruby, Seagrass, Jet, Ocean, Fog, Walnut and Vita. While is is not the cheapest of strollers it offers value for money. The Bumbleride Indie has many of the extras that come with its much more costly competitors.

Below are a list of the Bumbleride Indie features and how these features can add to the comfort and safety of your child as well as making your use of the jogging stroller more pleasurable.

Hopefully by reading this information you can decide if this is the stroller that would meet your needs.

Safety:

The Bumbleride Indie has a five point adjustable harness, keeping your infant or child as safe as possible. It also has an infant headrest and shoulder pads for extra protection. The breaks work well and lock easily.

Adjustablility:

There are many features of the Bumbleride Indie that are adjustable. The seat reclines to four different positions, allowing your child the greatest comfort regardless of their age or size. The handle bar height can be adjusted so that dad/mom or other caregivers can push in comfort. The height adjusts between 32’’ and 45’’. The padded bumper bar allows various infant seats to be used with the stroller. Some of the seats that can be used with the Bumbleride Indie include the Graco Snugride, Peg Pereggo Primo Viaggio, Chicco KeyFit 30, Combi Shuttle, Baby Trend Flex Loc and the Britax Chaperone. The bumper bar can also be used for toddlers for added safety.

Weight and Folding:

The Bumbleride Indie has a anodized aluminum frame, making it very light. It weighs about 20 lbs. As a mother of three this was something I always looked at when purchasing a stroller. I needed to be able to carry my stroller up stairs, lift it into taxis etc. Many of the joggers are heavy and therefore not practical on a daily use basis. Folding the Bumbleride Indie takes practise, particularly if you are a new parent and have no experience with strollers. However, once you have got the hang of it, it is not difficult to do. The Bumbleride Indie is not the most compact of strollers when folded but it does fold up quite a bit smaller than some of the other jogging strollers. If you need it to be more compact, it is possible to remove the wheels without too much trouble. It has a carry handle to make moving it easier. If you are looking for a stroller that is more compact but has many of the features mentioned here, look at the Bumbleride Flite.

Comfort:

The seat is padded, giving your child extra comfort. The foot rest has adjustable positions which ensures that your child is comfortable as they grow. The Bumbleride Indie is very stable and the 12” air tires make it suitable for all terrains, including rough sidewalks.

A fantastic feature of this jogging stroller, and one that always concerned me, is the canopy. It has a new UV mesh viewing window, ( contains no PVC) but the canopy now also extends a lot further allowing your child far greater protection from the elements. Part of this large canopy can zip off if you so desire.

Storage:

When you have children you always seem to have a million things with you. Clothes, toys. food etc. While some of this fits in the diaper bag I always needed more space. This was particularly true the minute I had one bag of groceries. Once I had my second and third child having a good storage space in my stroller was vital. I needed both hands to be holding or pushing children – I could not also be holding extra bags. The Bumbleride Indie is one of the jogging strollers that has a large storage space – something I couldn’t do without.

I did a lot of research on the Bumbleride Indie and found that most parents who owned one were happy with it. It offers value for money and is practical and trendy at the same time.
